Subhash Yadav, close to Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, has been taken into judicial custody till March 24. On the night of March 9, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) team had arrested Subhash Yadav in a PMLA case related to illegal sand mining and sale of sand. On the morning of March 9, the ED team had raided about eight places related to Subhash Yadav and his close associates. During this, about Rs 2.37 crore was recovered from the premises of an employee and close associates of Subhash Yadav. When the ED team asked for its account, it was not given. After which the team confiscated all the cash. After interrogation, ED arrested Subhash Yadav. After appearing in the court, Subhash Yadav was sent to Beur jail. Now an order has been issued to send him to judicial custody till March 24.

Actually, the ED team had received a complaint against Subhash Yadav for illegal sand trading and money laundering. After investigation, the team raided eight locations of Subhash Yadav including Danapur, Takiya area of Patna. The ED team was stunned to see such a huge amount of cash during the raid. The team had to order a machine to count the cash.
RJD had given ticket for Lok Sabha elections
RJD had given ticket to Subhash Yadav, associated with sand business, from Chatra Lok Sabha constituency of Jharkhand in 2019. However, he had to face defeat in that election. Here, a year before the elections i.e. in 2018, Income Tax had raided many locations of Subhash Yadav including Delhi, Dhanbad and Patna.
